Bespoke Design Process
Custom pieces are designed in collaboration with jeweller Ebony Birks. Each commission is a considered process, created to reflect your individual story, whether for yourself or a meaningful gift.

How the Process Works
1. Initial Consultation
We begin with a conversation to understand your vision, including metal selection, form, stones, and design details.
2. Design Development
Your concept is translated into initial sketches, along with a preliminary estimate. Once the design is refined and approved, a more accurate quotation is provided prior to production.
3. Production & Completion
A 50% deposit is required to commence production, including casting and material sourcing. The piece then moves through finishing stages including setting and polishing. You will be kept informed throughout the process, with final imagery shared once production is complete. Once final payment is received, your piece is securely shipped. The process typically takes 3–6 weeks depending on complexity.
Studio Practice
Each bespoke piece is a collaboration between jeweller and wearer—an expression of craft, intention, and material storytelling. In contrast to mass production, bespoke jewellery allows for a slower, more thoughtful process, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
Due to the nature of this process, we recommend beginning your enquiry at least 3 months prior to any intended date such as birthdays, anniversaries, or special occasions.

If you would like to discuss a custom piece further, consultations can be arranged via phone call, email, or by visiting the EB Studio by appointment. This allows us to explore ideas in depth and ensure your piece is thoughtfully considered from the beginning.
